Where to Park, What to Eat at the All City Swim Meet

Madison, Wis.Two of the most vital ingredients for a successful All City Swim Meet are knowing where to park and what to eat.

High Point Swim Club, this year’s host of the 54th annual All City Swim Meet, has worked with Madison Streets and Parks, the Madison Police Department and the Madison Fire Department to ensure that the event is as safe and accessible as possible for swimmers and fans alike.

The High Point Church has been gracious enough to allow patron parking on a significant portion of their lot off of Old Sauk Road. Swimmers may be dropped off there as well, as swimmer “tent city” is located behind the Church. Meet officials and coaches may park in the vacant lot immediately north of the Dean West clinic on High Point Road. Additional street parking is available in the Wexford neighborhood north of Old Sauk Road and east of High Point Road.

Parking is NOT permitted in High Point Gardens Condominiums, Sauk Point Square (corner of High Point Road and Old Sauk Road), the apartment complexes along High Point Road, and our other neighboring commercial properties.

Don’t want to drive? No problem! Bike racks will also be available at both the pool and tent city.

Maps of the layout are available to view on the All City website: https://allcityswimdive.org/archive/highpoint/2015swim/wpcontent/uploads/ParkingOptions07.15.2015.pdf

New this year, for concessions the 2015 All City Swim Meet will feature a variety of local area vendors and food carts, including Willy Street CoOp, Slide, PotsnTots, Kona Ice, FIBs, SoHo, Cafe Costa Rica, Toast, Jamerica, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream and Pizza Pit Extreme. All servings will be < $5, so swimmers and fans are encouraged to sample the many unique and tasty treats Madison has to offer.

“From accessible parking to the variety of food vendors, we want to make this year’s All City Meet one to remember not just for the swimmers but for their friends and family who come to enjoy watching them compete,” said Gary Hartung, president of the High Point Swim Club board and one of the meet directors. “I, for one, can’t wait to enjoy a plate full of delicious unique Madison food poolside at the greatest outdoor swimming event in the country.”

The 13 pools that together make up the All City Swim & Dive League are working together with our partners at Second Harvest Food Bankto raise 150,000 meals to help benefit our local food pantries and programs. There are many ways to help, including cash or check donations at your local participating pools, nonperishable food donations to the food barrels available at participating pools, or the virtual food drive at http://www.secondharvestmadison.org.

The All City Swim Meet organizers would like to thank our two premier sponsors, Dental Health Associates and Park Bank, for their generosity and support of the 2015 All City Swim Meet. We would also like to thank our platinum sponsors, CUNA Mutual Group/TruStage Insurance, ESPN Madison, Madison Investment Advisors, Orthodontic Specialists of Madison, Sanchez Industrial Design, Sound Devices and TDS.
