About Seminole

The Seminole Sharks joined the All-City League in 1994, serving then and now as the only pool based in Fitchburg. In the ensuing years, both the membership and the swim team have grown consistently larger, with the swim team producing several Olympic trial-caliber swimmers. Seminole’s dive team is an excellent organization as well, consistently on the rise in the standings.

Seminole has been a model for fast meets since its early days, running efficiently with the largest teams in the city. While the Sharks’ performance in the pool has greatly improved in those years, the massive growth in membership and quality of service is what the staff and members themselves are most proud of. Every year, the team engages in a service project with Second Harvest Food Bank, helping raise funds and awareness for an important cause.

Seminole has a unique structure, coming in at 26.5 meters long. While some may see this as a disadvantage, the Sharks embrace it, and “26.5” has become a popular design choice for team apparel in recent years.

About All-City

At its inception in 1962, the All-City league consisted of only five teams: Ridgewood, Hill Farm, Shorewood, West Side, and Maple Bluff. Over the last 53 years, the eight other current member pools joined their ranks, with the most recent inclusion being the Goodman Waves in 2011.

All-City is one of the largest outdoor amateur meets in the country, consistently bringing in almost 2000 competitors from across the Greater Madison Area. Although many records fall every year, All-City is about more than competition. We focus on improving personal times and having fun with teammates.
