Here are the various ways you can be a part of this awesome event...

Set Up: This will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday July 27, 28 and 29 beginning late afternoon early evening. Pack play clothes and join us after leaving work! Set up crew will start taking shape around 3:00 pm. Can.t be there right at 3 -- don.t worry plenty to do whenever you arrive! It will likely involve heavy lifting and moving of tables, chairs and other large items. Great way to work WITHOUT the crowds.

Tear Down: Be a part of the party Sunday morning . the .striking. party that is. Some of the work will involve heavy lifting, but many other .non-lifting. jobs will be available as well.

Clerk of Course: There is no experience required! This is an exciting place to be as you check in swimmers and escort them to the blocks. Some positions are seated and shaded.

Concessions: Feed the crowd! Provide nourishment and a friendly smile. No experience required for this area! And it’s shaded!

Meet Marshall: Keep the crowds moving and under control. This volunteer monitors traffic paths and the overall conduct the crowd. Some of these positions offer seating and shade.

Parking: Just as it sounds. Help the masses find a place to park in our well organized parking lot. Simply guide each car to its spot. Traffic directing will also be needed at peak times. Blaze vest provided!

Volunteer Support: Keep the volunteers happy! Provide beverages to those who can’t leave their post. This is a job for someone who wants to keep moving. Some lifting of beverages involved.

Problem Fixer: Able to jump in your car and run for garbage bags? Able to lend a helping hand? Then this job is for you. This is a job for someone who can respond quickly and thoughtfully when help is needed. Some lifing may be required.

Clean Up: Great job for people who like to keep moving. This position keeps an eye out for full garbage cans, anything that needs tending, and support the concessions and other areas as needed.

Hospitality: Ever wonder just how much food a swim coach can eat? How about the amount of food swim coaches from 12 pools can consume? Use your winning smile and warm personality to find out! Busy, but cool and shaded work!

Runners: Like the sun and a fast pace? This is the job for you but bring a visor and comfortable shoes. This volunteer will be collecting the race times and delivering them to the scorers. Then collect results and deliver them to the appropriate places. You’ll be on your feet and in the sun...but the time will fly!

IM a Star (High Schoolers): wondering how you.re going to meet your COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS? Enjoy the sun and helping kids? We.ve got the job for you! On Friday all day and Saturday morning using your great smile and warm personality welcome 10 & under swimmers to the 2009 All-City meet and help the kids find their team tent. Earn community service hours at the same time . we.ll certify your time! KIDS ONLY!

Website/Streaming: Like to work with camera equipment? Rather be behind than in front of the lens? This job is shaded and you will have a great view of the meet.

Heat Sheet Sales: Extra! Extra! Read all about it! This is where you get the 411! Limited spots remain Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. Selling heat sheets will keep you busy at peak times, seated and shaded. When the sheets are gone this volunteer will shift gears and lend a hand with awards or volunteer check in. Never a dull moment here!

Awards: The best feel good position out there! Hand out awards to all the swimmers. This area is organized well and no experience is required. Wait until you see the smiles!

Tent Parents: Someone has to make sure that our kids haven’t tied up the coaches. This job is simple, supervise the resting swimmers. Shaded and seated position. A loud voice and outgoing personality a must.
