Important Meet Information | Inclement Weather Policy Responsibility for Stopping and Starting the Meet Once a meet is stopped, the Head Official and/or Meet Director will determine if and when weather conditions warrant that the meet should be restarted Meet Continuations, Delays and Postponements If, due to inclement weather or other factors, the preliminary events scheduled for Thursday cannot be completed on Thursday, then those events shall be completed at the start of the Friday preliminary swimming session. The Meet Director shall be responsible for determining whether an earlier meet starting time is required on Friday to accommodate the schedule change. If, due to inclement weather or other factors, the preliminary events from Thursday and/or Friday cannot be completed by the end of day on Friday, then those events not completed shall be held on Saturday. It will be up to the Meet Director to determine if the swimming of those events requires that the Saturday Relays and Finals Session be rescheduled to Sunday. If, for example, there are only a few preliminary events that remain to be swum as of the end of day on Friday, then these events will be swum before the Relays and Finals Session on Saturday and the Relays and Finals Sessions will be held on Saturday. On the other hand, if a full day of preliminary events is yet to be swum as of the start of day on Saturday, then these events shall be swum on Saturday and the Relays and Finals Session will likely be postponed until Sunday. If, due to inclement weather or other factors, the Saturday Relays and Finals Session cannot be completed on Saturday, it will be up to the Meet Director whether any events not contested will be swum on Sunday or cancelled. If, due to inclement weather or other factors, the Saturday Relays and Finals Session is never started, then it shall be held on Sunday. If, due to inclement weather or other factors, the Relays and Finals Session cannot be held on Sunday, then it will be cancelled for this year. |
