- Team scores were miscalculated at the time of the meet, and RW was awarded the trophy at the meet. It was not until two weeks later, after final results were mailed out, that PC coach Bill Wuerger re-calculated the scores and discovered an error. After review by the All-City League Board, the decision was reversed, and Parkcrest was awarded the trophy!
- SW implements the first food drive. A competition among the pools, the prize for the winner was a cake!
- Backstroke flip turns were allowed for the first time…records fall!

- The efficiency trophy is renamed “The Pete Christiansen Efficiency Trophy,” in honor of respected and long-serving head swim official Peter Christiansen.
- This 1999 meet was the hottest on record, with an average temperature of 94 across the three days. It reached 97 on Friday, July 30th!
